№94062 is a BR General Utility Van (GUV) built by Pressed Steel and was initially allocated to the Southern region.
The vehicle is fitted with heaters that are attached to the internal ceiling, due to its use as a newspaper van. It is also electrically through wired.
When built the vehicle was numbered №86803 but as various modifications were carried out renumbering to №93803 (around 1983) and then №94062 (around 1985) occurred.
During its mainline career №94062 moved around considerably, being at Cambridge in 1989, Bristol in 1992 and Euston Down Side in 1996, prior to storage at Crewe Works then at Thingley Junction, Chippenham, prior to preservation at the Northampton & Lamport Railway.
