2104’s Final Trip

After a long time at NLR serving as our resident steam locomotive, 2104 hauled her last few trains yesterday ahead of her coming overhaul.  Quite a few people turned out to enjoy both a mince pie, and a journey behind 2104 on 2nd January.  There is currently no time frame on 2104’s overhaul, as the priorities currently lie with Peckett 1378 Westminster and GWR 5967 Bickmarsh Hall, both of which are being restored on site at the moment.  The 2017 season will begin again in March with Sunday Diesel services, hauled by our resident Class 47, having recently completed its minor overhaul, and then with the Mothering Sunday Specials, which will be steam hauled, however the engine is still to be confirmed…

Thanks 2104 – you’ve served us well!

Do you have any steam locomotives in operation for this year

We will have a steam locomotive in operation from the start of the season, yes. We already have an engine lined up for this year, and will provide a further update when it has been confirmed. Watch this space…!
