This is an internal user waste fuel oil tank wagon which came from Immingham Depot. It has an air driven discharge pump which was used to empty waste oil tanks on diesel depots. The wagon operated a circular route between Immingham, Cambois, Bradford, Holbeck, Knottingley, Wath, Shirebrook and back to Immingham collecting waste fuel oil. The pump was operated by being connected to the locomotive's main air reservoir pipe. The wagon was built in 1959 and is vacuum fitted.
This tank wagon was formerly owned by Esso as can be seen
from
the positions of the eight lugs on the right hand end of the tank.
