Built to diagram NM 501/2 to lot Nº 30402, the underframes at BR York, and the bodywork and final assembly at BR St Rollox, Glasgow in 1958. This vehicle was originally a standard GUV, being converted to NJV form for newspaper traffic later in its life.
Its final allocations were Derby in 1989, and Bristol Marsh Junction in 1992, before being put to store at Crewe in 1996. It arrived on the NLR Thursday 22nd August 1996.
