Southern Railway PMV Van No S1834

S1834 built at Ashford in 1943 for the Southern Railway had many uses as a Parcels & Miscellaneous van during its active life on the main line. From around 1986 the vehicle was renumbered into the departmental fleet as NVF 51834 and subsequently taken into use as an internal user stores van (numbered 024536) at Tyseley depot, near Birmingham.

This type of van was also built by the Southern Railway at Lancing & Eastleigh works and by BR at Wolverton works.
