This vehicle was built at Ashford in 1943 for the Southern Railway. It would have found many uses during its active life on the main line. From around 1986 the vehicle was renumbered into the departmental fleet as NVF 51834 and taken into Tyseley depot for use as an internal user stores van. It arrived at Pitsford & Brampton on Monday 13th June 1994.
