Bridge 13 re-opens after urgent repairs to bridge timbers.
Thanks to a wonderful response to our appeal, and a grant of £4,250 from The Eric Stanton Northampton Trust, we managed to meet the £8,500 target in exactly 2 weeks!!
This meant we were able to order the timbers immediately, with delivery taking place on 21st Feb.
The first 2 new timber were then installed on the bridge during the weekend of the 11th/12th Mar, with the bridge re-opening in time for the first trains of 2023 (19th Mar).
The 3rd and 4th timbers purchased with the appeal funds have also been moved to the bridge, ready for replacement over the Summer.
